We are aware that some people are looking for volunteer opportunities in areas other than organic farming and cultural exchange in Nepal. There are many organisations accessible over the internet that offer to find you placements, but you may find that many of these organisations will charge up to US$300 per week for the privilege! We understand that paying such an amount is just not possible for many people who genuinely want to volunteer and have relevant skills. WWOOF Nepal has many contacts with other NGOs and charitable organisations here in Nepal particularly in the areas of:

-Education (schools etc)
-Child Welfare (orphanages, child labour focused groups etc)
-Women's Organisations
-Poverty Alleviation
-Health (placements for doctors, midwives, nurses etc)

Given enough time it may be possible to find placements in other areas too. As part of trying to fund the activities of WWOOF Nepal in ethical ways, we are offering to find a placement for interested people with appropriate experience for the one off fee of US$50. All of this amount will go towards the running of WWOOF Nepal. We will aim to find you a situation which is similar to the way WWOOFing works were you are given board and food in exchange for your work. Of course individual placements may vary. Please allow AT LEAST one month for us to find a suitable situation. You must supply us with a full and detailed resume for us to proceed also.
